Common questions
Will resizing hurt the image quality?
Shrinking looks crisp because the browser resamples the full image. Enlarging works too, but it can only stretch the detail the source already has — upscale modestly for the best result.
Does the resized image keep its transparency?
PNG, WebP, and AVIF output keep transparent pixels. JPEG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background color when you export as JPEG.
